First I'd like to thank the Essential Webcomics team for allowing me to post a review for them. And with that said, lets get it on!

After a recent trip to one of my favorite stores in the city, I came back home with this little gem being one of several of my purchases.  Now I freely admit I don’t have much exposure to any of the Zenescope titles outside of seeing them on the shelves. Mostly cause you don’t want to just jump right into a new comic when its already 20 or so issues in. Although I suppose looking up any information on previous comics would also help you some!  But this trade is a great way though to dive right into what they are doing. And for anyone who loves the classic fairy tales they were told growing up. You may find yourself enjoying what Zenescope does. Especially since they twist up quite a few of those old stories. Like with the Monkey’s Paw story. Which shows a prime example of why you should just keep your mouth shut. Unless you really want to get dragged down into Hell. Full on blame for your conscious I’d think! The writing, art, and colors are things I have no complaints on at all throughout the whole book. As everything just looks great. Although I honestly wouldn’t want to anger Belinda, even for a tiny thing! Flambae Rob just doesn’t sound all that great.

Another of the favorites I had in this trade was the Nutcracker story. As even against impossible odds Sela and her merry band of Nutcrackers were able to fight back against the Rat army. I like how there were some real world implications from that as well after she had woken up. I am curious though if she herself somehow did it while asleep or if an element from her dream managed to do it. Ah well, a mystery of life I suppose! I wonder though what Belinda is going to do when she figures out who was really responsible for ending her happiness. If she was mad then, she’ll be really furious now! And as the old saying goes, ‘Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.’ Or she might just order another flambae on a poor soul and walk off. Although I wager Sela won’t be as happy either. Looking very forward to seeing what happens with the Dream catcher she’s given later on. I love the cover art on here. Not only do you see two beauties, but you also get to see what the Grinch would look like in a more monstrous way. And probably a lot more successful than the Grinch ever was.  The cover gallery this book has is simply hot! This is one of those trades you definitely should pick up. Even if you aren’t very familiar with anything from Zenescope. I know its left me with wanting to read more! Be quick and nimble before you miss a chance to feast your eyes on this gem! And big props to Essential Webcomics for what they are doing!
